I am a Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I completed my medical education at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University after completing my undergraduate studies in music at Yale University. Following my graduation from medical school, I entered my post-graduate medical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, where I completed the general residency in adult psychiatry. During my training, I served as the Chief Resident of the McLean Hospital Clinical Evaluation Center, where I trained beginning residents to perform acute psychiatric evaluations. In addition to teaching residents and medical students, I further specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of mood and eating disorders, fields in which I have published several articles and book chapters.
After completing my residency and fellowship training, I became a member of the faculty of Harvard Medical School and an attending psychiatrist at the Massachusetts General Hospital Eating Disorders Clinical and Research Program. I am also a member of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, where I am a candidate in psychoanalysis.
I have extensive experience treating psychiatric disorders in individuals of all ages, ranging from small children to older adults. As a psychiatrist and a musician, I pay close attention to the inherent music in the narratives we create for ourselves. I specialize in both psychotherapy and psychoanalysis with adjunctive medication management, whenever indicated.
I look forward to our work together.
